Spanish player Juan Lebron ends his season with yet another defeat against the bad boys and world number one, COELLO/TAPIA. We will not return to this match, as the difference in level was so obvious. No need to dwell on Di Nenno, literally surpassed in his diagonal by a Coello who was too punchy, even on a slow track.

What is of interest here is the contribution of Lebron left since his return to this position. And it must be said: if he can thank Di Nenno for having restored his confidence, the Spanish player fishing in many areas left, as shown by this Barcelona Finals. Harsh observation?

A worrying irregularity

First, its irregularity. How hard it must be for a partner to ask themselves what version of lebron he will find on the field. And often, it is not just one version per match, but several! During the quarter-final of the Finals, he benefited from a Di Nenno exemplary and particularly impactful. But on the track, Lebron may have been the worst player, despite the victory. And it is not the first time that his Argentinian partner has saved his life.

Offensively withdrawn

Another weak point concerns its offensive phases : too irregular, and especially without the impact of the best. Lebron is neither Galan nor Tapia. Perhaps this period on the left has allowed him to realize that he is no longer as incisive in this role as he can be on the right. And perhaps that is the great lesson of 2024 For the Spaniard: playing on the left is good, but on the right he can become the best player in the world. He has already proven it in the past… Certainly, with Galan, but Juan lebron remains one of the players the most talented of his generation, if not the most gifted.

What about 2025?

We now know that, Lebron/Di Nenno, it's over. The Spaniard let the cat out of the bag at a press conference two days ago. So the question is: Which partner for 2025? For several weeks, rumors have been linking him to the Argentinian Leo Augsburg, a left-footed player known for his power. However, Augsburger also has a reputation forirregularity. In the world of padel, everything moves very quickly: we now know that Yanguas and Stupa will no longer play together in 2025. Their premature defeat at the Master Finals against Edu and Momo seems to seal this separation.

A promising association with Stupa?

For Lebron, this situation could be an opportunity to bounce back with the former duo of Di Nenno, Stupa. With him, Lebron would go back to the right, a position where he is capable to excel. For his part, moving from Yanguas to Lebron could be a good move for Stupa, if el lobo (Lebron's nickname) manages to offer his best version. Lebron is a player offensive on the right, while Stupa is not known for being very aggressive on the left. This complementarity could work, provided Lebron finds his consistency and his legendary explosiveness. For now, nothing official, but the post-Master Finals transfer window could well confirm this promising association for 2025.
