Juan Tello is recognized as one of the most discreet players on the professional padel circuit. And the year 2024 will probably not be among his most memorable seasons. Although he had the honor of playing alongside the legendary Fernando Belasteguín In what was his last year, the Argentinian player did not shine as he would have liked.

Currently classified 20th world player, Tello suffered from a lack of consistency. His performances, marked by frequent changes of partners, were not enough to allow him to secure a place in the Master Finals. A disappointment for this player with undeniable talent.

Asked by our colleagues Mark, Juan Tello gave his impressions on this mixed season and the challenges he had to face.

“The status quo with Alex weighed on both of us, and maybe I was the problem because I couldn't adapt to his game.”

In another passage of the interview, Tello looks back on the bold choices he made this year, notably playing on the left alongside prestigious partners such as Paquito Navarro et Fernando Belasteguín.

“I think they showed courage in accepting, Paquito and Bela, to play on the right with me. It says a lot about the confidence they had in me by changing sides to play with me.”

Juan Tello's new partner will be Tino Libaak, a player who left his mark on the 2024 World Cup. What if Libaak was precisely the teammate Tello needed to bounce back and set out to conquer the Master Finals ?
