Beginnings and rise to power: from Bsichwiller to the national scene

It is in his  Bsichwiller club Near  Strasbourg , that Julien discovered the  paddle , a bit by chance. "We had  two padel courts  at the club and I started playing with friends, including  Simon Wagner , one of the  best french players . » Yet, at first, the  paddle  didn't immediately win Julien over. "I liked it, but nothing more." It was only by chaining the  tournaments around Strasbourg  that  passion  has really settled in.

At first, Julien limited himself to  local competitions , never exceeding  an hour's drive from his home . Then, seeing his  progress  and starting to get caught up in  competition game , he decides to move on to the  top gear . Also, since  two years , Julien sees  bigger, further , moving in  the whole of France , chaining the  tournaments  to measure up to  top .

Julien is not just a  local player He has already made one  name on the French circuit  with  solid performance . To  P1000 of the Pyramids , it recently reached the  semi-finals , beating  heads of series  as  Paul Dornberger  et  Alexandre Dizzy . His next goal? A  victory in P1000 , why not during the  Metz tournament , where he hopes to get his  first title of this magnitude . But Julien remains  lucid  : "For that, we will have to  train again and be strong  »

La  season promises to be busy  for him: after  Metz This will  Besançon then  regional championships  with  Guillaume Ledras  and a  ambitious schedule  which proves that Julien does not intend to stop there.

Gamer's life: between passion and family balance

If Julien skims the  tournaments , he does not forget his  personal life . "We just had a  child with my wife , and that changes everything. Before, I would leave without thinking. Today,  leave my son , it's complicated." This  new life as a dad  forces him to juggle between his  sporting ambitions  and  family responsibilities .

La  well-made head , Julien found his  balanced . "I limit the  travel to one or two tournaments per month . I organize myself to be there when I can, and above all, I take full advantage of the  moments with my family  »

An organization strengthened by its  professional project  : from next year, he will work mainly in the  paddle , while maintaining a small activity of  tennis teacher at ILL TC in Strasbourg .

This change will allow him to  focus more on padel , to train more regularly while having  more free weekends for his family . "It's ideal. I might even play a little more, but without  sacrifice my family life  »

A privileged witness to a sport in full explosion

Since his  debut in Strasbourg , Julien saw the  padel explodes in France , and more particularly in  Alsace . " AT  Strasbourg , it's madness.  4Padel  will open 10 more padel courts south of Strasbourg, and other centers such as  Home InsurancePadel  et  G-Padel  are developing rapidly." For him, the  paddle  is no longer a simple  emerging sport  : "It has become a  real dynamics People are fighting to reserve land.

This  evolution , Julien also notices it at  National level . " The  structures are multiplying , the  young players progress quickly , the  training centers  as  Vichy  ou  palavas  offer  real opportunities  »

And for him, the  France is only in its infancy  in terms of the development of padel.  Beware of tennis , because the  paddle  could well take its place in the  coming years  »

As for his own future, Julien has the  clear ideas . If the  Padel has become his number one passion , he remains aware of the  risks of “saturation”  : "You have to know how to keep the balanced , not to  burn the wings  »

For  young people who would like to follow in his footsteps , he advises to  "go all in, get a coach, train seriously, but never forget that the passion must remain intact."
