The first champions of France junior are finally known. Including the current French N ° 17, the selection Provence-Alpes Côtes d'Azur was twice defeated in the final. Occitania and the Hauts-de-France are sacred, all under the eyes of Bastien Blanqué.

The very first French youth championship of padel delivered its verdict this weekend. Toulouse Padel Club hosted, on September 14 and 15, the first edition of the French youth championship of padel, regional tournament reserved for under 18s.

The surprise was de rigueur in the boys because the Provence-Alpes Côtes d'Azur, whose U18 pair counted in its ranks Thomas Leygue, the current French N ° 17 only 17 years, let slip the title. Occitanie, aware that she did not go favorite, assured his matches U14 and U16.

Yoan Boronad and Julien Biron (Occitanie) won their match against Timeo Fonteny and Ethan Bensoussan (Provence-Alpes Côtes d'Azur) in two sets: 6 / 1; 7 / 6. Then the pair Mathieu Biron and Manuel Lorenzo (Occitanie) had in turn, in 16 years and under, the Provençal duet (6 / 1, 4 / 6, 6 / 4). The victory of the duo Leygue / Sfenz in 18 years and less does not change anything (6 / 1, 6 / 1), the Occitanie has already made the break in this championship of France.

The Provençal selection still finalist unhappy

Unfortunately for the selection Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur, the fate is not more favorable for girls because it is the Hauts-de-France who win in the final. Julie Ferrara and Thaïs Baulard Panichi (U14) first offered the first point to the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur by winning their match against Mila Larrieu / Jade Psonka in three sets (5 / 7, 6 / 4, 6 / 4).

Back to the wall, the Hauts-de-France won the next two meetings. First in U16 with Lison House and Ninon Martinache who outclass Louise Roussat / Jade Cessou (6 / 1, 6 / 0). Then in U18 with Zoé Billon and Tyffaine Pais leaving only remains to Roxane Leclercq and Camille Lauriol (6 / 4, 6 / 1).

Men's final classification: Occitanie (1ers), Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur (2e), Hauts de France (3e)

Women's final classification: Hauts de France (1ères), Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur (2e), Ile de France (3e)
