Focus on Justin Lopes, 6th player in the FFT ranking, and Professor of padel to WinWin Padel. He mentions in particular his time in the French team.

Padel Magazine : How did you get to padel ?

Justin Lopes: “I started on padel in June 2014 it seems to me. I had three friends who were looking for a fourth to play and they thought of me. It started from there, it immediately drove me crazy, I asked them to play the next day, the next day. I harassed them to play, I wanted to progress because at the beginning I was playing tennis on a padel, there were frustrating situations. ”

Padel Magazine : And a few years later you found yourself in the France team, can you tell us about this experience?

Justin Lopes: “My time in the French team was an unforgettable experience. I fought to get there, and I take a lot of pride in it. Luckily for Ben and luckily for me, I played a lot so it was great fun not just polishing the bench, it allowed me to see the vibe. And obviously when you play a match for your country, the racket is a little heavier ... but in the end I did not do too badly, I had displayed a very good level of play during the tournament, therefore very experience. positive “

Padel Magazine : You also tried the Spanish adventure!

Justin Lopes: “I spent six months in Madrid but I did not play too much in the Madrid tournaments, I just did unapproved tournaments, the level of which was nevertheless quite high. I never did either World Padel Tour, but it may not be worse because when I see the difficulty to win games in preprevia already, I tell myself that I would have known some defeats!"

Padel Magazine : Today you are 6th French player, do you train a lot?

Justin Lopes: "No, unfortunately I can't train a lot. I would like to be able to do it a little more often but the lack of players and the difficulty of synchronizing the schedules of each one means that it is not easy. But I saw that I was back in 6th, I'm happy. ”

Justin Lopes Francois Authier

Padel Magazine : Still with François Authier, you on the right and he on the left, unlike your beginnings ?!

justin lopes : “After our one-year divorce we had to seduce him again. For that I suggested to him that he moved to the left I knew he was going to like it… No more joking! François does a lot more things than me in the air: he has a much better arm speed than me at the spike and more easily masters the grid in kick even if his new tendency is a stroller in the grid which does big damage!

I will also admit to you something that nobody suspected is that François is better than me physically as well, so it was obvious that we exchange! Not to mention the fact that François had a mental problem on the right, sometimes he didn't hit a lot of balls and that drove him crazy! Playing on the left allows him to hit a lot more balls ... he's a player who needs to hit the ball often to be in the rhythm
For my part, I had spent a year with Maxime on the right where I felt very good. "
