After playing with the  Ultra Short Padel  last year, then recently tested the  K-Frame I was curious to see what K-Swiss would offer next. And clearly, with the  Ultrashot Light Padel ,  the American firm  returns with a new model that immediately attracts attention.  From the very first steps The positioning is clear: to offer maximum agility on the field without sacrificing the  retention  neither the  stability  Two essential elements on the track. The objective is clear: to streamline the design as much as possible to support dynamism, quick pivots, and the most intense offensive plays. By focusing on the essentials, K-Swiss delivers an ultra-comfortable shoe that disappears to allow for pure movement, just what you need to be  light and  et  effective  in the field.

 A timeless “Blue & White” look 

Visually, it's a mix of  polar white  and  Navy blue , simple but effective, with a  clean look  which goes everywhere and remains  modern without excess The silhouette is  slender ,  fluid , almost  Aerial What gives the model its full depth are these  kinetic lines  on the forefoot, which blend into  light grey  towards the middle of the shoe, bringing this  little extra  which is fully revealed when the shoe is observed closely.
The finishes are exemplary between the  breathable mesh  of the tongue and the inserts in  TPU  melted (the famous  Durawrap ) which maintain a very professional matte finish. It's clean and you can feel by touch that the materials have been designed to breathe, even in the 35°C heat of a Marseille summer.
The real detail that marks the shoe's belonging to the "big family" is hidden on the back: the word  "PADEL"  It sits proudly enshrined in capital letters, engraved in the exoskeleton of the heel. This is a strong signal that K-Swiss is no longer content with merely flirting with our sport: the Californian brand now has  definitely took the plunge into padel  with complete conviction and legitimacy.

 The shock of the scales: 319 grams, and then what? 

Where the  K-Frame  weighed its weight with  427g , this  Ultrashot Light Padel  display an incredible  319g  (in size 44,5). Almost 100 grams saved per shoe.
In padel, everything is a matter of constant stamping and repositioning.  Do the math: with such savings, every 10 strides, it's   1 kg less load   that your legs must lift.

The chassis  180 PSC  (Planta Support Chassis) is the centerpiece of the assembly. This molded support is made of  TPU  The 180-degree angle under the midfoot prevents the shoe from twisting and ensures a  lateral stability  Unflappable during sudden stops at the end of the stroke. The foam  Surgelite  Then it takes over as the cushioning engine: lighter and more flexible than traditional foams, it offers superb comfort while returning energy with every start—with a very noticeable feeling of dynamism during acceleration. Finally, because the sand-filled carpet is a real cheese grater for your shoes,  K-Swiss  secured critical areas with the duo  Durawrap & Dragguard 7.0  : a TPU film melted onto the mesh and high-density rubber on the heel and toes, for exemplary durability despite intensive sessions.

 Regarding interior comfort , as soon as you put the shoe on for the first time, this  slightly soft welcome  One thing is immediately apparent: comfort is instant. The brand is focusing here on a fit  Width D (Medium)  which offers a universal and perfectly proportioned volume. One particularly interesting design detail deserves to be highlighted: the  insole  is glued directly to  background editing  of the shoe. It is a fairly rare technical feature on the market, but remarkably effective in preventing the insole from slipping or creasing during the most brutal starts and lunges.

Several points also deserve to be highlighted. The presence of a  double threading loop (pull tabs)  on the heel and the tongue, which greatly facilitates putting on the shoe. The latter also extends very high up the instep, creating an excellent shield that effectively prevents sand and debris from the track from getting inside the shoe.

This heel counter helps to stabilize the back of the foot while limiting the stress on the Achilles tendon.

Once on the track, the first word that comes to mind is  freedom .
