From June 5 to 9, 2024, Kaz A Padel organize a Men's P1000 which promises to be raised. But when we look at the list of registrants, surprise: six women are participating! A specificity clarified by the Competition Guide of the FFT.

According to « Competition Guide Padel 2024 ", mixed tournaments are only possible in P25, P100, and P250. However, in the case of the approved P500 and P1000, it is specified that ladies can compete in the men's events in case of agreement with the organizers. This is the case here since the Reunion club accepted the candidacy of the participants in the competition.

As you have understood, the objective of the Federation is to allow the best French players to have access to good level events. Indeed, as you know, there are many more P1000 men than P1000 women each year.

The six players who will be able to benefit from the rule at Kaz A Padel are Anna Blue Houareau (39) Elisa Guiraud (39), Flora Poupart (52) Betty Dautriat (62) Elodie Naegellen (151) et Jennifer Deguigne (154). Will they be able to create some surprises? Response this weekend on Reunion Island.
