Kristina Clément, former player of the France team of padel finds himself at the world in Doha, as opponent of the Blue with the team of Germany. From France to Germany, via Monaco, Kristina looks back on her incredible adventure and the great world she is experiencing.

The export manager of NOX take the opportunity to take stock of the development of padel in Europe.

France, Monaco and Germany!

I have 2 passports: French and German. My mother is German and my father French. It has been several years since I played for the France team. My last selection dates from 2012.

I then coached the Monaco team. The adventure ended this summer after the European Championships of padel.

And then Germany offered to play for her as a player.

I'm in good shape. I play pretty well. And then things happened naturally. I find myself in Doha. So I won't complain.

Wink and assurance of being in the top 8

Playing against France is a nice wink for me. We had a one in four chance of playing against France. And the chances were even slimmer to see France and Germany playing against each other for a first pool place.

It is the first time that the German players find themselves in a final phase of the world championship of padel. And they are sure to be in the main draw in the quarter thanks to their victories against the USA and Chile.

The two matches were played at the decisive point, and I was able to bring this point each time with my partner. The story is very good for Germany. And I am very proud of my career. Germany will be in the top 8 in the world no matter what.

Against France, Germany will do the maximum. But we know that France is the big favorite of its hen.

We will try to take as many points as possible, as many games as possible ...

For players new to a world, the bar is very high in Doha. They may be very demanding afterwards! Everything is perfect, everything is thought of.

COVID has boosted the growth of padel

Kristina Clément is also the export manager for the NOX brand PADEL.

Like many, we were afraid about the economic consequences of COVID. But in reality, while COVID has been complicated for a lot of people, for the padel, it has been an incredible accelerator.

We had the first two months of beating. But since the padel was a sport which remained authorized in certain countries including Sweden, this allowed this sport to acquire an accelerated visibility.

Sweden surprised everyone. Behind it Spain, Sweden and then Italy are the most dynamic countries. Then we have the other European countries like France, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands ...

Today, NOX like the others is faced with supply problems. It's paradoxical, but we would have signed up straight away to be there today!
