The French Tennis Federation has published a new episode of its series "The Blue Trail" offering a 17-minute immersion into the heart of a P500 tournament contested by four young prospects from CNE padel .
A raw format, as close as possible to the daily lives of these players, between school, training, competition and international ambitions .
A P500 for learning differently
Accustomed to higher categories (P1000, P2000), the young players voluntarily "dropped down a category" for this tournament. The objective was not solely the result, but teamwork and adaptation .
Jérémy Garcia, one of the coaches at CNE Vichy, explains it clearly:
"Beyond the ranking and the expected result, it's more about taking the opportunity to create other things. Succeeding in adapting to a partner with whom you're not necessarily used to playing."
The pairs were changed for the occasion. A strategic choice aimed at developing:
- la team cohesion
- the ability to playing to his partner's strengths
- adapting to different game patterns
An essential learning experience in the development of a future top-level player.
Four profiles, one same dream
The episode highlights four young female players:
- Augustine Charpentier , 15 years old, 70th French
- Zia Debroye , 15 years old, 70th French
- Elise Leroux , 13 years old, 211th French
- Lylwenn Laforge , 14 years old, 256th French
They all share a common ambition: to one day join The french team .
"My dream is to be a professional player. I don't think there are words to describe it."
The documentary also shows the reality of their daily lives:
four hours of classes in the morning, training, match, then three hours of CNED before packing the suitcases for the tournament.
A demanding balance between studies and sports project .
A formative competition
On the ground, the images reveal the emotional intensity:
A difficult start to the match, tactical adjustments, advice from the coach, frustration at a close result.
The staff insists:
"The result is frustrating, but your level of play is very good. Being one point off doesn't change anything."
The focus is on:
- managing important moments
- commitment in the decisive moments
- individual progress despite defeat
An approach consistent with the philosophy of National Training Center : to train before winning.
La Piste Bleue, showcase of French padel
With this series, the French Tennis Federation continues its work to promote French padel and its training system.
This fifth episode offers an authentic perspective:
- no filter,
- no excessive staging,
- simply the reality of high-level construction.
Content that helps to better understand what a young prospect's sports project far from the spotlight of major international tournaments.
The new episode of "The Blue Trail" is available on the FFT's YouTube channel.
