The French Tennis Federation, through its Directorate Padelhas officially launched its call for bids to host international competitions FIP for the calendar year 2027. An approach carried out for the first time directly with the FFT affiliated or authorized clubs that have the necessary infrastructure.
The objective is to anticipate the structuring of the international calendar in France, with several categories of tournaments planned in the country in 2027.
Which clubs are eligible to apply?
The FFT specifies that the following may submit an application:
- clubs affiliated with or authorized by the FFT;
- having at least 4 padel courts of the same type ;
- with a minimum height of 8 meters .
Applications must be submitted via a dedicated online form provided by the FFT, accessible until [date]. 12th June 2026 : https://forms.gle/LpWPZ6Kivf5RbhBM7
The federation also specifies that each application must be validated by the relevant league president before the final harmonization of the calendar.
16 FIP adult tournaments planned in France
In the documents sent to the clubs, the FFT announces its intention to propose the following for 2027:
- 4 FIP Gold or Platinum
- 12 FIP Bronze or Silver
- 4 FIP Promises
- as well as the two major events already established on the French calendar:
- le Bordeaux P2
- le Roland-Garros Major
The FFT also indicates that the specifications currently being submitted still correspond to the 2026 version, as the FIP is only required to communicate the updated version at the end of the calendar year.
Approval fees ( FEE ) as well as Prize Money They could therefore change before final validation.
The stages of the call for applications
The FFT has detailed the full schedule of the selection process:
- May 12th 2026 : launch of the call for applications to clubs and certain private promoters
- 12th June 2026 : closing date for applications
- 23th June 2026 : presentation of the Management's proposals Padel to the Federal Padel Commission
- July 2026 : presentation of applications to the DG / PST
- 26th August 2026 : presentation to the Federal Bureau
- 28th August 2026 : final validation by the Federal Committee
- September 30, 2026 : transmission of French applications to the FIP
- November 2026 (?) : validation by the FIP
- December 2026 : publication of the FIP 2027 calendar

With this early call for applications, the FFT is clearly seeking to structure its international calendar earlier and to identify clubs capable of hosting competitions that meet FIP standards.
The federation further specifies that in the event of a club withdrawing after federal validation, it reserves the right to reassign — or not — the date in question to another structure that participated in the call for applications.
