Beaten in the final of the Rugby World Cup, New Zealand consoles itself with its first track of padel !

Indeed, on October 28, it was at the Riverside Sports Club in Auckland that the country's first field was inaugurated by Padel New Zealand (New Zealand Federation of padel).

For this great occasion, more than a hundred people were present. The organizers were even able to count on the presence and support of Lucy Lawless, an actress known for having played the iconic role of “Xena the warrior” for several years. Sporty and still in good shape, the New Zealander even played the first match on this brand new “20×10” during the official inauguration.

This major celebration is the fruit of three years of hard work during which the teams set out to build a viable action plan and thus enable the padel to take flight on the island.

Soon, new tracks will be installed throughout the country. From this month of November, it is in the Remuera Racket Club, still in Auckland, that a second court will see the light of day. And at the beginning of 2024, a third 20×10 will be inaugurated at the Albany Tennis Center. And others should follow suit!
