The Pro Padel The North American professional padel league (PPL) continues its rapid expansion. After a successful inaugural season in 2024, featuring stops in Miami, San Diego, and New York, the circuit will expand in 2025 with the addition of two international destinations: San Sebastian (Spain) et Guadalajara (Mexico).

The kick-off will be at Miami, from June 19 to 22, in the Wayfair Arena, the brand new site of the women's basketball league UnrivaledA highly symbolic choice according to Mike Dorfman, CEO of the PPL: "The arena is at the cutting edge of technology and perfectly embodies our ambition to offer an immersive experience to our fans, while affirming our support for the development of women's sport."

A tight and rhythmic schedule

The 2025 season will count five major events :

  • June 19-22: PPL Miami (USA)
  • July 10-13: PPL San Sebastián (Spain)
  • August 14-17: PPL Guadalajara (Mexico)
  • August 30 – September 1: All-Star Festival (The Hamptons, USA)
  • October 16-19: PPL City's Cup (New York, USA)

This format will feature the 10 teams in the league, spread across the United States, Canada and Mexico: Arkansas Matrix, Cancun Waves, Flowrida Goats, Houston Volts, Las Vegas Smash, Los Angeles Beat, Miami Padel Club, New York Atlantics, San Diego Stingrays and Toronto Polar Bears.

A modern competitive format

Each event will include group stages, for both men's and women's teams. The best teams in each category will advance to the matches for podium placesThe fast game system, dear to the PPL, will be retained: two-set matches, With a 10-point tiebreak as a 3rd round, and the rule of Golden Points for ties at 40-40.

The points accumulated during each stage will allow us to establish a General classification, mixing the results of the men's and women's teams. The eight best teams in total will meet in October for the PPL City's Cup, a knockout final phase.

Global ambitions and an American-style show

In addition to the competitive stages, the league will organize its very first All-Star Festival in the Hamptons. The program includes Pro-Am events, celebrity events, and workshops for the local community. The goal is clear: to continue to democratize padel while cultivating the league's lifestyle DNA, blending sport, entertainment, and culture.

The PPL also confirms its desire to reach a global audience, with planned distribution in more than 100 countries and 300 million homes via its media partners and YouTube channel.

A young but ambitious league

Launched in 2023, the Pro Padel League intends shake up the codes of professional padel, focusing as much on gender equality as on entertainment. International expansion in 2025 marks a new strategic step in this vision: combining performance, entertainment and the overall development of padel.
