Le P1000 FT Échirolles Sunday morning held its share of surprises with the elimination of the number 1 seed just before the final. The final will now pit the number 3 seed against... Authier / Baud at the top of the 4rd seed Lelarge / Perrin .
Lelarge and Perrin bring down TS1
In the blockbuster semi-final match, Lelarge / Perrin (TS4) created a sensation by eliminating the favorites Potel / Petitdidier (TS1) after a big fight: 6/7 6/4 6/4 .
The start of the match was very close, with the first set won in a tie-break by the number 1 seed. But behind them, Lelarge and Perrin clearly gained momentum.
They managed to break in the second set before remaining solid on their serves to push the match into a deciding set.
And in the third set, they remained solid and TS4 prevailed. 6/4 in this final round.
A great performance that opens the doors to the final for them.
Authier and Baud confirm
In the other semi-final, Authier / Baud (TS3) secured their place in the final after a solid victory against Alvergna / Battistela (TS8) : 46 / 3 7 / 6 .
An important victory against the tournament's surprise pair, who earlier defeated the 2nd seeds Etienne / Diaz Torregrosa .
