A delegation of 4 people traveled to African soil to bring the good word of the Padel and validate the first edition of the Intercontinental Cup for clubs padel in Dakhla, in the south of Morocco, from November 15 to 19. A competition that will bring together all the continents and whose ambition is to offer “the most beautiful international competition of padel in the world ”on Place Hassan II.

Close links with the Palmeraie in Senegal

First step of EFCA : The club of La Palmeraie in Senegal. It was time to reunite with Geoffray Demeerlaer and his team with the first edition of the Euro Padel Cup at Casa Padel last November. There are very close links with the first African club to participate in the European Club Cup in 2018 and which will return in 2019 with new ambitions. A club and accommodation conditions at the top level to spend 7 days shared between Padel and tourist activities.

The CAFC, new member of the AECP

Second step to Casablanca in Morocco for the AECP team and more precisely for the Cercle Amicale Français de Casablanca (CAFC). Very high quality facilities and guided tour by Pierric Montant, the sports director of the Tennis section Padel which has more than 900 members including 300 padlers. Fruitful discussions with the treasurer Mr. Le Roux who wishes to see the CAFC join the members of AECP for the next European Cup in Valencia and participate in the Intercontinental Cup.

Dakhla: Realization with the CICP

Third stage in Dakhla in the south of Morocco (2400 km further south). Christophe Marciano, Antonio Navarro and Claude Baigts for AECP were accompanied by Samir Hajije and Ahmed Bennis from Cercle Averroes. All will be received as were the pioneers of the Aéropostale who made the City of Dakhla the main stopover for the Toulouse Saint Louis line in Senegal.

The objective of this trip: the creation of the Club de padel Dakhla with the construction of at least 5 courts and the organization of the Padel Internationale on Place Hassan II from November 15 to 19, 2019.

Objective fulfilled by the partners of AECP- NORD Sud Action by President Omar El Alaoui El Balrhiti acting on behalf of the Regional Tourist Office Dakhla Oued Eddahab who participated in a reception within the regional council at the invitation of President Yanja El KHATTAT.

All the parties proceeded to the signing of the agreement financing the costs of the construction of the courts and of the international sporting event, in front of the cameras of Moroccan television.

The Intercontinental Cup of padel  in Dakhla - November 2019

16 clubs representing the 5 continents will compete in two men's and women's tables: Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, France, Monanco, Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, USA.

The 4 clubs 1/2 finalists of the European Cup of Clubs edition 2019 will be on the trip. But the partners went even further since the delegation that will go to Dakhla from November 15 to 19 will be made up of 200 people: players, managers, business leaders, journalists (16) with support from AECP, North South Action, Averroes Circle of 200 guests in full board and transfer to Malaga Dakhla by Air Arabia.

It was after a visit again to Casablanca and then to Rabat to meet the Moroccan media and the Moroccan Olympic Committee that the delegation was able to return to Valencia and Toulouse to report on the success of the mission.
