We were all weekend at the new club padel from the Poitou-Charentes region: L'Ars-en-Ré.

The tennis Club de l'Ars-en-Ré has indeed launched into the padel and therefore becomes the first club in the region to offer padel outdoors after the Sporting Club which already offers 2 indoor courts since last November (near Poitiers).

The island of Ré therefore finally has its land of padel. At the inauguration, most children and adults were introduced to padel for the first time. There was also a demonstration of padel (Produced by France Padel Pro). Conclusion: The next day, despite the rain, some were ready to play all day ...

This sport could very well walk on the island because tennis and beach tennis players are numerous on the island. This new offer is a perfect complement to what already exists.

As Pascal Mussau, the club manager explains: "Not only the padel is a sport that will attract new athletes, but for tennis, this court could help improve one's volley game in tennis for example."

There are similarities between tennis and padel, and Pascal Mussau fully intends to use this new tool during his tennis training.

Joëlle Mussau, the co-manager of the club seems particularly sensitive to this new club that " offers a lot of conviviality in front of the club house ».

The future ? Pascal Mussau is a sportsman who has competition in him. This former tennis negative intends to request the possibility of hosting the regional championships of padel in his club before possibly participating in the inter-regional championships which will certainly take place near Poitiers.
