La International Federation of Padel decides to push further the international competitions of padel. THE Cupra FIP Finals 2020 will bring together the best of each event.

Before arriving at the final point that will be the Cupra FIP Finals, the International Federation decides to give a boost to the 2020 competitions with the creation of the Cupra FIP Tour 2020 for the month of August.

The goal of this series of tournaments is to allow the competition to continue while respecting all the health and safety standards of each country involved. At the end of this circuit, the best pairs will meet for a final tournament which will bring together 64 teams.

A Cupra FIP Finals that will attract a lot of people

This final test will be a plus for the players. First of all thanks to the points that will be awarded. The winners will leave with 50 points, the finalists 30 and this in a decreasing way up to 1/16 of finalists. Then thanks to economic gains. A minimum price of € 12 was announced. So this great FIP ​​event, which is scheduled from December 000th to 7th, will really be a boost for our sport and more visibility in this complicated year.

Who will be able to access these Cupra FIP Finals?

First of all all the winners of FIP Star tournaments. Then, the pairs who will have accumulated enough points during the season. Finally, and this is quite new, each member federation of the FIP will be able to send a player from his country with a license and who has participated in at least 3 FIP tournaments regardless of the category.

And the ranking in all this?

Rankings are frozen until early 2021 for the exceptional reasons we all know. It will be in January that the rankings will be updated of all the tournaments that will have been held in 2020.

For the moment the FIP has not communicated on the dates and places of the next tournaments, but we should have the information in the days to come.
