The adventure ends in  Round of 16 of the FIP Bronze Portimão  to  Laura Buteau Associated with the Moroccan  Kamilia Benabdeljalil The Frenchwoman fell to the  seeded 1 , Clarinha Santos / Brittany Dubins, with the score of  7 / 5 6 / 3 .

A perfectly executed opening

Buteau and Benabdeljalil had, however, made a very good start to their tournament. In their opening match, they dominated the wild card field composed of  Karin Marlies Lems and Diana Lemesko , with a victory  6 / 2 6 / 1 .

A convincing victory that allowed them to reach the round of 16, where the level of competition rose significantly with the  seeded 1 .

Buteau and Benabdeljalil resist TS1

Facing  Clarinha Santos and Brittany Dubins The Franco-Moroccan pair did not disgrace themselves. The first set, in particular, was very close, with Buteau and Benabdeljalil pushing the favorites to the limit.  5/5  before giving way in the final games.

The number 1 seed then took more control in the second set and ultimately won.  7 / 5 6 / 3 .

A logical defeat on paper, but a  encouraging match  for Laura Buteau and her partner, who were able to compete for a good part of the match with the number 1 pair in the tournament.

Vives and Guy de Chamisso ultimately withdraw.

At men's,  Manuel Vives and Olivier Guy de Chamisso , seeded 10th and initially entered in Portimão, ultimately did not participate in the tournament.

The two Frenchmen declared  withdrawal before their entry into the competition  and therefore will not have had the opportunity to defend their chances in Portugal.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
