Laura Clergue: “A new adventure padel for 2021 ”

2020 was my best year ever padel but also a complex year for all which made me aware of my current needs in life. A long month of reflection in France, supported by my family, allowed me to make this decision from the heart.

These four years have been unforgettable. I arrived with hardly a word of Spanish speaking, in a small room with the locals, and my level of padel was weak. I left everything, my work as an engineer, my friends and my family, in my mini car with my whole life in it, guided by a passion. I left with the mad desire to build my life as I see it.

This passion allowed me to discover extraordinary people, new countries, new cultures, new parts of me, as exciting as they are complex. I went through all the emotions, and my Spanish by all the accents over the course of my meetings. I learned there to be gentler and more open in contact with the Spaniards, me the French a little cold when I arrived, I was delighted to open myself to a new world that has brought me so much.

This experience made me grow up but today I want and need something else, I know it deep inside me.

I want to continue my love affair with this sport, in another form. I want to share and make sense of everything I have learned over the past 4 years. I want to make this sport that I love so much better known in my country, while being close to mine. I will share with you my future adventures padel very soon

I have so many people to thank, this montage brings together part of it: these new people who entered my heart and whom I will not forget despite the distance and those who have always been there.
