Traditional padel courts are based on a metal structure assembled with a system of screws and bolts to guarantee stability et security. But an innovation is shaking up this classic model: 100% Padel, a French manufacturer, will offer a range of padel courts without any screws. What are the advantages and challenges of such a solution?

According to Jérémy ScatenaFounder 100% Padel, "Until now, we have developed court bases without any fixing, but we are going to go further by designing a structure based on a revolutionary mechanical interlocking system. This process guarantees a superior stability and exclusive and refined design ».

1. Enhanced stability thanks to interlocking assembly

Replacing screws with an interlocking system provides better load distribution and reduces weak points due to vibes or wear of bolts. The materials are designed to fit together like puzzle pieces, guaranteeing a homogeneous structural stability.

  • Benefit : Less maintenance required and reduced risk of loosening due to bad weather or play intensity.
  • Disadvantage : Ultra-precise manufacturing, potentially increasing production costs.
Jérémy Scatena explains: "Since we started manufacturing our padel courts, we have been constantly looking for innovations. This is the first of a long series."

2. A clean and modern aesthetic

Without visible screws, the tracks display a minimalist design, integrating perfectly into different environments, both indoors and outdoors. This could appeal to clubs looking to combine sport and high-end aesthetics.

  • Benefit : A more elegant structure.

3. Weather resistance and increased durability

Since screws are often entry points for the rouille or corrosion, their removal extends the life of the tracks, particularly in regions with a climate wet ou copy.

  • Benefit : Less corrosion, therefore longer service life.
  • Disadvantage : Socket joints require expensive materials to withstand the same stresses.
"We are testing these structures in different environments, and this guarantees a sustainable investment for the clubs," says Jérémy Scatena.

Starting when ?

For the moment, this model is not yet on the market. 100% Padel will detail in 2025 this famous track which, according to Jérémy Scatena, could “shake up technical and aesthetic standards”.
"Our dream would be to launch this innovation in Bordeaux, but especially for the Roland-Garros Major." Indeed, according to the founder, "this system promises to transform the sector, both in terms of technical thataesthetic. However, it involves technical challenges and high initial costs. If clubs and investors overcome these obstacles, this concept could become the new standard, paving the way for a generation of more modern, sustainable and elegant tracks.

« Our ambition is clear : redefining the standards of quality and innovation in padel. With this screwless track, we offer a solution that is practical, aesthetic and durable,” concludes Jérémy Scatena.

Case to follow.
