This weekend of September 13,14, 15 and XNUMX, the Balles Open Tour 1st edition marked a highlight for tennis and padel fans in Lésigny. This event, organized over three days, attracted nearly 1000 people, who came to watch the various competitions and entertainment while enjoying a festive atmosphere.

Many emblematic figures were present to support this event. Germain Roesch, president of the Ile De France tennis league and candidate for the presidency of the FFT, as well as Anthony Dagnaud, president of the Val-de-Marne tennis committee, Elisabeth Caux, general secretary of the IDF tennis league, Michel Papin, mayor of Lésigny, and Francis Gallochat, president of the USCL honored the event with their presence. A first groundbreaking ceremony, carried out by the Mayor and Germain Roesch, launched the start of work on the 3 new indoor padel courts planned by the club for the end of 2024.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the very first 5-player team padel tournament organized in Seine-et-Marne. This unprecedented event attracted the attention of fans of this rapidly expanding sport. The presence of Jose Maria Garcia Sanchez Castilla, (best ranking World Padel Tour : 102nd), added a spectacular dimension to the competition. The weekend was also punctuated by other more classic padel tournaments: P100, P25, P500. More than 140 padel players over the three days were able to take part in the competitions and enjoy the entertainment.

The tennis tournament, which took place throughout the weekend, was also a great success. The weekend opened with a friendly doubles tournament, bringing together amateur and experienced players. The multi-chance tournament for young people aged 8 to 10 helped to showcase future talents in the discipline.

A team of physiotherapists in training at the Fontainebleau School supervised by Gilbert Trontte, trainer and physiotherapist at the Parc in Lésigny, were on hand to support the athletes throughout the competitions, an initiative appreciated by the participants, keen to preserve their physical condition.
