La Reserve Cup Miami started in the rain, disrupting the flow of matches, but one particular moment caught the attention. In the first match of the day, Agustín Tapia, associated to Eduardo Alonso, made a remarkable point that is already making the rounds on social networks.

Facing Miguel Yanguas et Javi Garrido, Tapia used a rare technical move: a sideways contrapared to defend a difficult ball. This move, rarely seen on the circuit, not only allowed the rally to be extended but also illustrated all the mastery and creativity of the Argentinian player who is one of the only ones who can imagine such a shot.

Despite a complicated start to the match, Tapia and Alonso managed to turn the situation around, winning in the supertie-break with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 10-7. Tapia is already showing his genius for his first match in 2025.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
