Jean WALLACH, President of the Lyonnais League and General Delegate to the FFT Training, returns to the padel training file.

Franck Binisti (FB) - Teach padel legally, it will be possible soon?

Jean Wallach (JW) - The FFT is looking for an adaptable solution for Padel teachers, who, in the current state of the law, can not teach for pay. It must be remembered, however, that this situation does not date from today and that it also applies to all tennis teachers. Even our best players can not teach against pay when they do not have a state diploma or a qualification issued by the Sports Branch.

Pending to consider, in the future, the creation of a specific diploma "Padel", we have proposed to the Branch a CQP "Tennis Animator" in the scope of which is included Padel.

FB - What would be the rules of this degree to get it?

JW - This diploma, like all the CQP, will be accessible through training or through the validation of prior learning (VAE) *, based on the experiences accumulated by the candidates in the different areas of the reference system.

FB - Is this degree restrictive?

JW - This diploma is intended to ensure the animation of the structures and the initiation and the discovery of one or more of one of the three sports: Tennis, Beach tennis and Padel. The CQPs may or may not include a limitation of the exercise volume (this has not yet been discussed for the CQP "Facilitator"). However, exceeding a ceiling is not prohibited but must be accompanied by a career development proposal, which could be done by the future creation of a diploma dedicated to Padel.

FB - Is it possible for a padel teacher who has obtained a diploma in Spain for example to have a recognition in France?

The recognition of a foreign diploma can be done through an equivalence commission. The problem is that there is no Padel diploma in France recognized by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Cohesion (MJSCS).

As for the CQP, it only concerns the Sports Branch. The training is attributed to a delegate. This diploma therefore does not concern the Ministry of Sports. There will certainly be possibilities for an advanced insider to obtain an equivalence if he validates his VAE.

FB - What would be the contours of this padel training?

In the "Facilitator" CQP, the contours (volume and training content) of the diploma are being discussed at the FFT and concern both the DTN and the DVF (Federal Life Directorate). Neither the total number of hours nor the training costs have yet been addressed. It should be noted that the number of hours of training of a CQP is variable (on average from 100 to 300 h of training, including the presence in a host structure). The fact of being a certification entails the support of the Formation by the OPCA of the Branch, in this case Uniformation (See http://www.uniformation.fr/)
