The La Ciotat Tennis Club (LCTC)  made some inclusion ,  the sharing  and  solidarity  the main themes of his April program. Through several events combining  paddle ,  adapted tennis ,  disabled  and charitable actions, the Ciotat club confirmed its commitment to a  sport accessible to all audiences regardless of age, disability or life path.

Throughout the month, players, educators, associations and partners mobilized around initiatives aimed at promoting encounters, sporting discovery and community living.

A padel initiation for deaf and hard-of-hearing youth

The month began with an initiative focused on youth. On April 1st, six deaf and hard-of-hearing teenagers aged 12 to 14 participated in a  introduction to padel  organized within the club.

Supervised by  Thomas Falzon As a trainee teacher at the LCTC, this session allowed young participants to discover the specifics of a rapidly growing sport in a suitable and friendly environment. The objective was both athletic and human: to encourage interaction, develop self-confidence, and offer an enriching group experience.

Wheelchair padel takes center stage with leading champions

On April 3rd, the club dedicated an entire day to  padel chair , a spectacular discipline that is still little known to the general public.

The program included demonstrations, introductory sessions, meetings, and discussions with top athletes. Visitors were able to discover the technical aspects of wheelchair sports and appreciate the physical and tactical demands of this activity.

Among the guests was Jean-Marc Keghlian, a member of the LCTC,  bronze medalist at the World Team Championships  et  runner-up in the French wheelchair tennis championship .

Open to the public free of charge, this day helped raise awareness among many visitors about the importance of  adapted sport  and its role in social inclusion.

A charity tournament to benefit the Curie Institute

On April 12th, let's focus on solidarity with a  charity padel tournament  organized as part of the "A Daffodil Against Cancer" campaign.

This event, associated with the Curie Institute, brought participants together around a common goal: to support cancer research while sharing a friendly moment on the slopes.

Between sporting events and a solidarity aperitif, the players responded positively to combine their passion for padel with a major public health cause.

A great inclusive day centered around tennis and padel

The month ended on April 27 with a  tennis and padel day included  bringing together different stakeholders in the region.

Hosted by  Maë Perkovic  et  Loan Pialoux club members, this operation was organized in collaboration with  STAPS Luminy , the  PACA League  and the  IME of La Ciotat .

Throughout the day, participants were able to share adapted sporting activities that fostered exchange, discovery, and diversity among different groups. This initiative illustrates the LCTC's commitment to making sport a true vehicle for integration.

A lasting commitment to sport accessible to all

Through these various actions, the  La Ciotat Tennis Club  demonstrates that sport is not limited to competition. The club is pursuing an approach aimed at making the practice of  tennis  and  paddle  accessible to the greatest number, with an emphasis on support, sharing of experiences and solidarity.

With this month of April being placed under the sign of... inclusion , the LCTC confirms its role as an engaged actor in local associative and sporting life, while recalling that the fields can also become spaces for meeting, mutual support and awareness-raising.
