Du  23 to 26 July , the  Padel Club du Parc 1348  hosts the fourth stage of the  Major Tour 2026 .

A unique event in more ways than one: for the first time in its history, the circuit of the AFPadel  the contest takes place outdoors.

baptized  "Summer Major" This summer round was designed to diversify playing conditions, offer a highlight in the heart of summer, and give top-level Belgian padel an open-air setting.  Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve .

 A first !

At the AFPadelWe designed the Major Tour as the showcase for top-level padel, for both women and men, with a constant requirement: the level of play, media coverage and the quality of the welcome extended to the public as well as the players.

The transition to  seven stages in 2026 The reduction from five last year already reflected this desire to broaden our competitive offering.  Summer Major  This constitutes its most visible novelty.

By placing a round in the middle of July and playing it outdoors, we are adding an extra dimension to a circuit which, until now, had always been played indoors.

Playing outdoors: another way of reading the game

Outdoor padel is not the same sport as indoor padel.

Wind, natural light, heat, the behavior of the ball at the end of the day: all these parameters add to the technical and tactical repertoire of competitors.

The participating pairs will have to adapt, adjust their choices and manage a full weekend in changing conditions.

That's precisely what we were looking for.

The highest international level is also played outside; it was logical that our elite circuit should offer this type of competition to our players at least once a season.

“Scheduling a Major Tour event outdoors, in the heart of summer, was a gamble. First, there was the risk of the weather and the light: two factors that no organizer can control and which influenced our entire schedule. Then there was the question of the calendar: in July, competitions become less frequent and players are scattered, whereas we wanted to offer them a real event at this time of year. Parc 1348 provided the ideal setting for this first event: it’s an experiment we were keen to conduct, and we’ll see how it goes.”

Ludovic De Maeyer, Event Manager of the AFPadel

A compact format, adapted to the site

In 2026, the AFPadel increased the capacity of the Major Tour to accommodate the large crowds seen last year: the stages held on six different terrains can now host up to  52 pairs in MD1000  et  22 pairs in WD500 i.e  148 participants .

Le  Summer Major  is an exception.

Disputed on  two outdoor lanes and two semi-covered lanes This round features deliberately reduced brackets, calibrated to ensure smooth scheduling and fair playing conditions over four days of competition.

A more compact format, then, but with the same sporty density.

Parc 1348, a setting perfectly suited for the event

Located in the heart of  Louvain la Neuve , the  Padel Club du Parc 1348  It is part of a rapidly developing sports complex that combines tennis, padel and fitness and is experiencing strong growth in its affiliations.

This open and easily accessible setting offers the  Summer Major  The conditions we are looking for at our events: space around the tracks, a friendly atmosphere and the possibility for the public to follow several matches simultaneously.

We would like to thank the team at  1348 park  for his commitment to organizing this first event, as well as all the volunteers, referees and partners who make this event possible.

A circuit that structures Belgian padel

From one stage to the next, the Major Tour pursues the same objective: to promote padel, to encourage people to play it and to offer the top French-speaking level a setting that matches its ambitions.

The circuit brings together clubs, competitors, enthusiasts and the entire ecosystem around a common dynamic.

Le  Summer Major  fits perfectly into this trajectory.

By moving out of the gyms, it further expands the potential audience for our sport and illustrates the ability of Belgian padel to reinvent itself.
