Le Malagasy Pro Padel Tour (MPPTour) embodies an ambitious initiative aimed at developing and structuring padel on the island of Madagascar. Created in July 2023 by Gary Ah-Waye et Sebastien Andriantsoa, two passionate entrepreneurs, the MPPTour has quickly established itself as a key platform for the promotion of this sport. In less than two years, more than 40 local tournaments have been organized, accompanied by major events, thus laying the solid foundations for a promising future for Malagasy padel.

The year 2024 marked a turning point with the organization of 26 competitions across Madagascar, increasing the visibility of the sport and attracting a growing audience. A notable initiative was the arrival of the international coach Julien Bondia, whose expertise has enabled Malagasy players to progress technically and increase their competitiveness on an international scale.

Continental and regional recognition

When African Cup of Nations Padel In Mauritania, the Malagasy team, supported by the MPPTour, won the title of African ChampionThis historic success confirmed the rise of Malagasy padel and positioned Madagascar as a new force on the continent.

In September 2024, the MPPTour organized the first Iceland Padel Cup in Tananarive. This event brought together the best players from Reunion Island and Mauritius, consolidating regional sporting ties. The Malagasy men's team distinguished itself by winning the title of Indian Ocean Champion, while the women's team finished second, behind the Reunion Islanders.

A grand finale

To close this season, the prestigious Orange Padel Master brought together the 16 best players from Madagascar. This elite tournament was an opportunity to celebrate the progress made and to highlight local talent. It also provided an opportunity to take stock of the year, while offering a glimpse into the future ambitions of the MPPTour.

Outlook for 2025

Driven by this momentum, the MPPTour aims to continue this momentum in 2025. The objective is clear: democratize padel and further affirm Madagascar's place on the African scene. The projects in preparation promise a year rich in competitions and performances for fans of this sport.

With a 2024 season marked by notable successes and progress, the MPPTour is a major player in the development of padel in Madagascar. The future seems more promising than ever for this sport on the island.
