The development of padel continues to accelerate worldwide. According to the latest data published by the International Federation of Padel in its World Padel Report 2025sport has surpassed the symbolic threshold of 77,000 active padel courts worldwide by the end of the first half of 2025.
Continued and structured global growth
At the beginning of 2024, the total number of tracks was estimated at around 62,600. In just 18 months, More than 14,300 new runs have been built, be one Overall growth of +22,8%, corresponding to an annual rate of approximately 15%.
This progression is part of a fundamental trend:
- 150 countries now have at least one padel infrastructure
- More than 24,600 clubs or complexes offer padel practice
- The average global ratio is 3,1 tracks per clubevidence of a progressive structuring of the facilities.

- Spain remains ultra-dominant, with only nearly a quarter of the world's tracks.
- Italy confirms its status as the second largest market in the world, following rapid growth between 2020 and 2023.
- The France establishes itself permanently in the world's Top 5, with one of the best growth rates recently recorded in Europe.
- South Africa et Saudi Arabia symbolize the rise of padel outside of Europe and Latin America.
A dynamic that is set to continue
La FIP anticipates continued growth through 2026, with an even greater concentration around affiliated federations, which already hold 96% of the world's runways – an expected figure 99% with the arrival of new national federations.
Padel is no longer content with opportunistic development. It now relies on structured investments, a club offering increasingly professional and sustainable territorial anchoringconfirming its status as a fully mature sport on a global scale.
