Based on the analysis carried out by Padelonomics, we had the curiosity to see what racket sport was popular in France at the moment. While it is clear that tennis is still number 1, the padel makes a resounding arrival in the French landscape, since it is now positioned as the second racket sport.

But what are we relying on? Well it's very simple. By carrying out a comparison of research related to the main racket sports in France, we can see that to date the padel is positioned as THE number 2 racket sport. It is ahead of badminton, squash and even table tennis. If we look closely, we can see that the padel since the beginning of 2021 has been on an extremely upward slope.

And if we push the analysis further, we can see that most of the competitors of the padel are stagnating, with the exception of badminton which is experiencing periods of strong increases and behind which is going through periods when it seems to arouse much less interest among the French.

If this graph only represents a part of a potential analysis that would allow us to clearly identify the second racket sport in France, it is nevertheless interesting to note that the padel seems to be arousing more and more interest in France.
