Le  Global Padel Report 2025 , published by  Playtomic  in collaboration with  PwC Strategy& , draws up an unequivocal observation: padel is establishing itself as one of the  fastest growing sports in the world . In 2024,  more than 3200 clubs  have been created in 90 countries, i.e.  nearly 9 new clubs every day .

Unprecedented growth

The year 2024 marked a historic turning point for the development of padel.  3282 clubs have been opened worldwide , representing a  increase of 26%  compared to 2023. At the same time,  7187 new courts  were built, allowing the sport to reach the symbolic milestone of  50 sites installed worldwide This dynamic translates into a  annual growth of 17% , with a projection at  more than 81 plots by 000 .

Padel confirms its global boom: a club opens every 2 and a half minutes

A global, social and digital sport

The report highlights a  rapid and global adoption  padel. Markets like the  USA , the  Portugal , the  Netherlands , the  United Kingdom , the  United Arab Emirates , the  India , the  Mexico  or again Indonesia  show spectacular growth. In the United States, 352 courts were built in 2024, with "hotspots" such as  Florida, California and Texas , and a growing craze in states like  New York  ou  Illinois .

Padel also benefits from a  exceptional loyalty rate  :  92% of players return after a first game , proof of its accessibility and its social aspect. Another striking indicator:  30% of pickleball venues  in the United States now also offer padel, a sign of  the growing complementarity between these two sports .

Technology, the engine of performance

The report also highlights the role of the  digitizing  in this growth. Clubs using platforms like  Playtomic  are  3 to 5 times more efficient  than their competitors. These tools allow a  smart reservation management , a  personalized user experience , and better use of data to optimize the sports offering.

A stated Olympic ambition

With the support of  International Federation of Padel (FIP) , 2025 is a  decisive year in the race to integrate padel into the Olympic Games  of Brisbane in 2032. Sport is becoming organized, structured, and becoming a lasting part of the sporting habits of millions of practitioners across the world.

An ecosystem in full mutation

Behind this rapid expansion, there is a whole  economic model  which is evolving. The report highlights a  transition to flexible “pay-per-play” models , which are gradually replacing traditional memberships. This change is particularly visible in large metropolises and maturing markets such as the  France , the  United Kingdom  or even certain regions of  USA .

A strategic look at the future

For  Antonio Robert Aragonés , CEO of Playtomic, "padel is not just gaining popularity, it is at the origin of a global movement." Same story for  Pablo Carro , co-founder and CCO of Playtomic: “Padel has finally joined the global sporting elite. This report shows how it is becoming established in contemporary social and cultural practices.”

Le  Playtomic global report 2025  thus positions itself as a  strategic analysis tool  for all padel stakeholders: investors, clubs, brands, players and institutions.
