Le paddle continues to establish itself in the global sporting landscape. A new and important step: its integration as Official sport with medal to Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) 2026 , which will take place at Riyadh du 13 at 21 december .
A decision confirmed by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) which further strengthens the position of padel in major multi-sport competitions.
A presence that is confirmed in Asia
This announcement is part of a clear trend. Having already been integrated into Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games , padel continues with a new major presence on the continent.
A strong signal for a rapidly expanding sport, particularly in Asia where infrastructure and competitions have been developing rapidly in recent years.
A tournament is planned for Riyadh in December.
The padel tournament will take place from 17 at 21 december , within the Padel Rush Arena in Riyadh, a site already well known on the circuit Premier Padel .
The competition will bring together up to 12 national selections each composed of a a male pair and a female pair .
A compact format, but one that promises a high level of competition with federations recognized by their National Olympic Committees .
A project led by the FIP
From the authorities' perspective, satisfaction is evident. The president of the International Federation of Padel , Luigi Carraro hailed it as an important step forward for the development of sport.
For him, this integration confirms the strength of the international project led by the FIP, in collaboration with national federations and padel stakeholders in Asia.
One more step towards global recognition
Beyond the competition, this presence in a multi-sport event of this scale primarily reflects one thing: padel continues to gain credibility and visibility .
With values emphasized such as respect inclusion or the social dimension Padel is increasingly becoming part of the codes of international sport.
Another step in its development… and perhaps a new step towards even more ambitious long-term goals.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
