La  French Tennis Federation  (FFT) has just taken a symbolic step in the development of the  paddle  on the national territory. For the  first time in its history , the bar of  100 padel licensees  has been exceeded, confirming the extraordinary dynamic of this booming discipline.

This figure represents a  increase of 42,7%  compared to the end of the 2023/2024 sports season, which had 70 licensees. A spectacular increase which illustrates the growing enthusiasm among the French  for this sport combining friendliness, accessibility and competitive spirit.

More than 500 practitioners in France

Beyond these 100 specific licenses, the FFT lists  more than 250 FFT members playing padel , taking into account multi-rackets, as well as  more than 500 regular or occasional practitioners . So many figures which reflect the now essential place of padel in the French sporting landscape.

Infrastructure booming

This development is accompanied by an equally impressive growth in  dedicated infrastructure . France now has  2 padel courts , be one  increase of 40%  in one year. At the same time, the number of clubs or private structures offering padel amounts to  959 ,  increase of 25%  compared to 2024.

This development is notably driven by the efforts of  modernization of clubs affiliated with the FFT , which work to improve the quality of service and expand their offerings to meet the expectations of practitioners.

An ambitious strategy for the future

Building on this success, the FFT intends  further accelerate the development of padel  in the years to come. This involves the  construction of new runways , but also by  the organization of tournaments throughout the territory , in order to structure the practice and support the development of skills of clubs, teachers and competitors.

The Alpine Paris Major at Roland-Garros: an unmissable event

In this dynamic, fans will soon have a date with one of the highlights of the international season:  the Alpine Paris Major ,  one of the four major tournaments on the circuit Premier Padel , will be held  from September 8 to 14, 2025 at the Roland-Garros stadium .

The  tickets are already on sale  on the official website https://tickets.parispadelmajor.com/fr the  prices start at €15 for qualifications , the  Monday 8 September , and remain  accessible all week  : from €25 from Tuesday to Friday, then from €30 for the semi-finals and the final on weekends.
