World Padel Report 2025, published by the International Federation of Padel, presents an observation of a sport firmly established on a global scaleWith growth indicators confirming a change in scale, padel is entering a new phase of maturity. More practiced, better structured, more international.

More than 35 million practitioners worldwide

The figure has now stabilized: more than 35 million amateur players play padel around the world. Among them, more than half play at least once a weekThis confirms regular, rather than occasional, use. Europe remains the heart of global padel with 61,3% practitioners, in front of South America (19%), Central and North America (7,7%), Asia (6,8%), Africa (4,9%), while Oceania remains marginal.

Another significant piece of data: the place of women. They represent 40% of practitioners, confirming padel as one of the most balanced racket sports in terms of female participation.

An explosion in the number of clubs and tracks

In 2025, the world counts more than 24,600 clubs and complexes where it is possible to play padel, i.e., an increase in 24% in 18 months. Those are 4,775 new installations which have emerged since the previous report.

On the infrastructure side, the symbolic milestone of 70 tracks was crossed in early 2025, to reach more than 77 plots at the end of the first half of the year. This represents global growth of 22,8%, with particularly strong growth in Europe (+8,500 tracks), a North America (+99%) and Asia (+45%).

On average, a club has 3,1 tracks, a ratio that rises to 3,6 in North America et 3,8 in Oceania, reflecting more concentrated club models.

150 countries affected by padel

Padel is now played in 150 countries and territoriesi.e 26 more than in 2023. More than 75% of the world's countries They now have at least one structure that allows them to play. In Europe, the phenomenon is widespread. all 50 countries on the continent have at least one club.

Even though the FIP member countries only represent 59% of nations where padel is playedthey concentrate 96% of clubs and slopesa figure that could reach 99% in 2026 with the integration of new federations.

Europe remains the driving force, but is rebalancing itself

With over 51 tracks et 15 clubsEurope remains by far the leading continent for padel. But the report highlights a evolution of the growth rateAfter the spectacular explosions observed in Italy and Sweden between 2020 and 2023, some markets are entering a consolidation phase.

La France is establishing itself as one of the most dynamic countries at the moment, with +1,850 tracks in 18 months, i.e., annual growth exceeding 55%, now exceeding the threshold of 4 lotsThe United Kingdom also continues its strong progress, surpassing the 1 tracks, while Germany approaches the 900 facilities.

Conversely, Spain (more than 17 tracks) and Italy (10 200) are now experiencing more moderate growth, reflecting a mature market.

America, the world's second pillar

With 18,100 tracks spread across 6,400 clubsThe American continent confirms its position as the second largest center in the world. While Argentina remains historically dominant in terms of the number of participants, the Mexico is currently experiencing one of the strongest dynamics, exceeding the million players.

USA are entering a pivotal phase: more than 770 trails spread across 31 statesWith the Florida as a driving force (41% of courts). American padel remains geographically concentrated, but growth indicators are considered very positive.

A gradual spread in Asia, Africa and Oceania

Long concentrated in the Middle East, Asian padel has expanded. The region's share has gone from 89% to 72%, to the benefit of countries like Indonesia, Lebanon, Thailand or, Pakistan.

En Africa, more than 40 countries are now involved. Egypt remains the most mature country, but South Africa is experiencing spectacular growth, with more than 1 tracks. The Morocco and Tunisia now exceed 100 lands.

En OceaniaPadel is only just emerging from its embryonic stage. Australia has approximately 80 tracks, with a still very gradual development, supported by the organization of international tournaments.

An increasingly structured professional circuit

From a sporting perspective, the FIP currently oversees several international circuits. CUPRA FIP Tour continues its mission of global development with 318 tournaments confirmed in 2025, divided almost equally between men's and women's competitions. Since its creation, the circuit has welcomed players from 78 nations.

The circuit Qatar Airways Premier Padel has established itself as the global benchmark.
