Padel has reached a new major milestone in its international development. International Federation of Padel (FIP) et Padel Asia announced that the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) now officially recognizes the padel as an official sport of the Asian games.
This historic decision, announced since the OCA headquarters in Kuwait City when FIP World Cup PairsThis marks a turning point for the sport and brings padel a little closer to its ultimate dream: to be included in the Olympic Games.
A decisive continental recognition
After his entry into 2023 European Games, to 2022 South American Games, and its planned integration into Mediterranean Games 2026Padel continues its global rise.
This new partnership between the FIP, Padel Asia and the Olympic Council of Asia will allow the inclusion of sport in future editions:
- Asian beach games in Sanya (China) the 22 30 April 2026 the
- Asian Games of Aichi-Nagoya (Japan) September 19 to October 4, 2026
Asia, an engine of growth
Padel is experiencing a rapid growth in Asia, with over 4,600 courses spread across 1,700 clubs and 30 countriesThe creation of Padel Asia strengthened governance and accelerated the development of sport across the continent.
Large-scale events have already taken place: Copa Asiática FIP, FIP World Championships in Doha and Dubai, 24 Cupra FIP Tour tournaments, 3 events Premier Padel, and 8 FIP Promises tournaments in 2024.

Towards a truly global sport
With a now well-established presence on every continent, nearly 100 national federations affiliated to the FIP, 35 billion video gamers worldwide. et 80 tracks worldwidePadel continues to gain ground on the world sporting scene.
Its inclusion in the Asian Games represents much more than recognition: This is a further step towards a future Olympiad.
