Since theOf the 12 December 2024, which officially recognizes the high level character of some sports disciplines, padel has reached a key milestone. The Ministry of Sports, Youth and Community Life has now granted it this status, highlighting its growing importance on both the national and international scene.

This recognition process, which takes place after each summer Olympics, requires sports federations to request the Ministry of Sports to have their disciplines considered high-level.

Padel, an emblematic sport in Spain and Argentina, where he dominates both in terms of performances in national selections and in the number of players on the professional circuit, is reaching a new milestone in France. Currently the first Frenchman in the FIP world ranking for men, Thomas Leygue, is positioned at the 96th place. Among the ladies, we find Alix Collombon at 30th in the world and Léa Godallier, 58th.
