Two years after its last appearance, world padel is making its grand return to one of its most iconic venues: the Plaza Mayor in Valladolid. This time, it's no longer under the banner of the now-defunct World Padel Tour that the best players will tread the heart of the Castilian city, but well under that of the  Premier Padel .

An expected return to a historic place

The last edition held in this iconic square dates back to 2023, with the Valladolid Master of World Padel TourIn 2024, the tournament was moved to the Polideportivo Pisuerga for logistical reasons. But as desired Premier Padel,  The show will return to the open air, in the heart of Valladolid, from June 21 to 29, 2025 .

The Plaza Mayor will host the central court, including the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. The secondary courts will be installed on the  Acera Recoletos , one of the city's most emblematic axes, just a few minutes' walk away.

A tournament that has become P2, but remains symbolic

Unlike the “Master” status he had within the WPT,  This tournament will now count as a P2 , the lowest category of the circuit Premier Padel. This will not prevent the event from shining, because it is simply  of the most emblematic open-air tournament in world padel , a setting that promises a unique atmosphere.

It will be the second stage held in Spain in 2025, after a very special Gijón P2, marked by the boycott of the best pairs of the circuit. Valladolid will then precede the major P1 stages of  Malaga, Barcelona, ​​Madrid , before the  Finals in Barcelona  in December.

Flashback: The 2023 champions are no longer together

In 2023, during the last edition in the Plaza Mayor, it was  the Superpibes, Franco Stupaczuk and Martín Di Nenno , who won the title by beating Tapia and Coello after a huge battle (4/6, 6/4, 7/6). In the women's competition,  Delfi Brea and Bea González  had won their very first Masters by beating Triay / Ortega (6/2, 5/7, 6/2).

Today, these duos have changed, but  the prestige of this tournament remains intact , and this return to Valladolid promises to be a highlight of the 2025 season.
