The circuit  European Deaf Padel (EDP)  launched its 2026 season with the first stage held in  Milan , bringing together more than  200 deaf European players . Among them,  33 French men and women  were involved in this international tournament organized at  Country Sports Village , largest complex of  padel in italy  with its 24 fields. Between sporting performances, women's training camps and dedicated media coverage, this opening of the circuit confirms the growing strength of the  Deaf padel in Europe .

This was the first of four rounds of the circuit  European Deaf Padel (EDP)  in 2026. Organized in  Milan This inaugural stage brought together more than  200 deaf players.  came from all over Europe, including a large French delegation.

 A strong French mobilization in Milan 

In total,  33 French men and women  participated in this first tournament of the circuit  European Deaf Padel The competition took place at  Milan Country Sport Village considered the largest padel center in Italy, with  24 lands .

Over the weekend of  March 21 and 22, 2026 the event brought together  204 deaf competitors , spread across several tables of different levels.

Before the competition, the EDP  organized a training day dedicated to  women's padel allowing the participating players to prepare in the best possible conditions.

Several volunteer coaches were present, including three French representatives from  deaf padel  :  Maxime Sanchez ,  Nicolas Lanfranchi  et  Thomas Fligliuzzi .

In the most competitive men's category,  Maxime Sanchez , the top-ranked French deaf player, reached the final alongside the Spaniard  Alejandro Abadia .

The pair were defeated by a strong Spanish team after a hard-fought three-set match:  5/7 6/0 6/4 , in a match of estimated level  P1000 .

For his part, the French number 2  Nicolas Lanfranchi , associated with Spanish  Javier Sánchez has had a great run.

The pair stopped in  semi final , beaten by the eventual finalists, before finishing in the  third place  of the tournament.

The circuit  European Deaf Padel  will continue with the next step planned for  Cologne (Germany) ,  5th - 7th June 2026 .
