Behind the performances of  Paula Josemaría  et  Bea González Claudio Gilardoni continues his groundwork. From the start of their collaboration, Gilardoni has been impressed by the quality of Bea González's support team. According to him, the Spaniard's progress cannot be explained solely by her talent.

He highlights the work done by his coach Juanjo, the physiotherapist Óscar, as well as the role of his father Toni.

"Bea is an extraordinary person and she is surrounded by a remarkably well-functioning team."

The Argentinian points out that his role is not to transform a player already established among the best, but to make a few adjustments.

"Our mission is to add small details. We shouldn't give them too much information; they already know how to play padel very well."

Many already see Bea González as capable of becoming world number 1. Gilardoni prefers to temper expectations.

For him, constantly thinking about the top of the rankings can distract the players from their true mission.

"Today, we are number 2. We must first be able to stay in this position to hope to one day reach first place."

Even though Paula Josemaría and Bea González are having an excellent season, the coach believes that their room for improvement is still significant.

"They are showing a very good level, but we must continue to work. The day you think you've succeeded is often the day you start losing without understanding why."

 Triay and Brea, a permanent challenge 

For Gilardoni, the pair made up of  Gemma Triay  et  Delfi Brea  It remains the benchmark for the circuit today.

He emphasizes their ability to adapt, regardless of the playing conditions.

"They make every match extremely difficult, whether indoors, outdoors, on a fast or slow track."

Former coach of  Sanyo Gutiérrez Gilardoni retains immense admiration for his former player.

"Every time I listen to him, I feel like I learn something."

According to him, some champions already possess a coach's vision during their careers, capable of anticipating tactical situations before they even occur.

When discussing the current dominance of  Tapia / Coello  et  Chingotto / Galan Gilardoni speaks of four players "from another planet".

While he admires both pairs, he admits a particular affection for Agustín Tapia.

"I have a soft spot for Tapia. I like him a lot."

 "I too need to improve." 

Despite his reputation as a meticulous coach, Gilardoni believes he still has a lot to learn.

He would like to be more efficient during changes of ends, to intervene more simply and to improve his communication with the players.

This willingness to constantly question things is, according to him, the best way to keep moving forward.

 A philosophy above all 

More than conquering the number 1 spot, Claudio Gilardoni retains one idea: the ranking is only a consequence.

His obsession remains to build a better version of his team every day.

"We want to achieve that first place, of course. But that comes from daily work, not from constantly thinking about the final result."
