Le Premier Padel Italy Major will take place at the Foro Italico in Rome and will be one of the four major tournaments of the new circuit Premier Padel, organized by the International Federation of padel (FIP) and Qatar Sports Investment (QSI), with the support of the Professional Padel Association (PPA).

We will start with the qualifications which will take place on May 21 and 22. In the main table, we will find the gratin of the padel world, starting with world numbers 1 Juan Lebron / Alejandro Galan. The full list of registrants is available HERE.

Players participating in Premier Padel Italy Major will compete for 2 official FIP ranking points, with the possibility of winning a cash prize of $000. The tournament prize pool is in line with other events of the same level on the official FIP circuit.

The Italian Major joins the other Majors on the calendar Premier Padel in 2022. As you know, in the coming months, the Premier Padel Major de Paris will be played at the Roland Garros stadium from July 11 to 17, and the Premier Padel Mexico's Major will be held in Monterrey from November 28 to December 4. The inaugural tournament, the Ooredoo Qatar Major, was successfully held in Doha in March.

After its launch at the beginning of the year, the calendar Premier Padel 2022 will feature at least 10 events, including the four Majors, also known as Category 1 events. Details of the first Category 2 tournament were also announced in April; the Premier Padel P1 in Argentina will take place from August 8-14, with more to follow later in the year. With the announcement of this tournament, Italy joins the select group of nations chosen by the FIP to host its most prestigious events.

Hosting one of the biggest tournaments in padel in the heart of the Italian capital testifies to the remarkable growth and popularity of this sport at all levels. Today the padel is practiced by thousands of people. The 55 games of Premier Padel Italy Major will be played on three courts.
