Le premier  Salon of Padel in France The event, initially scheduled for next March, will ultimately be postponed to 2027. This decision was carefully considered by its director.  Marc Assous with a clear objective: to offer an event that meets the expectations of the market and the 850,000 French practitioners.

A strong ambition from the outset

For over seven months, the organizing team had been actively working on creating a unique trade show in France, designed as a unifying event for the entire industry. Many exhibitors had already confirmed their participation, and several partners had pledged their support to the project.

The choice of site, particularly with the support of  Padel Horizon This demonstrated the desire to offer an innovative format, at the heart of a leading club.

But despite the energy deployed, one conclusion became clear.

A growing market… but still developing its structure

Padel in France has seen spectacular growth in recent years. The number of players is increasing, clubs are multiplying, and tournaments are developing.

However, organizing a trade fair requires a precise balance:

  • the presence of  major manufacturers  (snowshoes, textiles, shoes)
  • a strong mobilization of the sector,
  • and the assurance of a sufficiently large and engaged audience.

“Perhaps we set the bar too high,” admits Marc Assous. “But for a first edition, we wanted an impeccable show.”

A difficult but responsible decision

“Postponing the event was not an easy choice.” It’s even a first for the organizer, who is used to large professional gatherings.

“However, the interests of the exhibitors, speakers and visitors had to take precedence. Holding the event without meeting all the optimal conditions would have been a risky gamble,” Marc told us.

2027 in sight

This postponement does not mark the end of the project. Quite the contrary.

Discussions had already begun regarding a new edition, with several options under consideration:

  • a club format, in line with the initial project
  • or a more classic and even larger show, in a neutral space completely redesigned in padel colours, with at least fifty exhibitors.

Partners have already expressed their willingness to commit to the next edition, which strengthens the determination of the organizers.

"Sometimes, you have to take a step back to take a bigger leap forward."

“The French padel market is dynamic but unique. Its development differs from other countries where the fan base has structured itself more quickly. The right timing is essential to guarantee the success of such an event.”

The objective is now clear: to return in 2027 with a strengthened, more mature edition that is fully representative of French padel.
