The Stade Français is embarking on the padel adventure with the construction of its padel pitch and the organization of its first indoor padel tournament.
This is the first padel court at the gates of Paris, not to mention in Paris.
Padel events planned
The Stade Français announced through the head of Stade Français, Louis Buisson, the setting up of events to develop the padel. But above all, the Stade Français could welcome next year an 2e ground. The area is already found since it will be right next to the first one.
The Stade de Français already since 20 years.
The Stade Français is not that new in the middle of the padel. The club is actually one of the pioneers of the French paddle. Indeed, there is nearly 20 years, Patrick Tauma, one of the former club, now living in Miami, had already tried to start the padel at Stade Français. The padel pitch had not met the expected success and the club had therefore decided not to pursue the development of this sport.
But that was before.
Sébastien Ruiz, the Dunlop padel manager in France and Patrick Tauma's long-time friend knows this episode very well. He recalls that he "It was an ephemeral padel court to try to promote this sport. Unfortunately at the time, this ephemeral terrain did not make small"
The padel is now part of the life of the club and the Stade Français intends to launch the momentum around this spot as quickly as possible.
