After a week of intense pre-qualification and qualification, the main draw of the Marbella Master, eighth tournament of the A1 season Padel, is now finalized. Club Nuevo Alcántara was the scene of the final qualifying clashes this Thursday afternoon, allowing four additional pairs to secure their place in the main draw.

The latest qualifications reveal the oppositions of the first round

The matches in the final qualifying phase began yesterday at 16:00 p.m., offering duels played under the Andalusian sun. The top seeds Javi Núñez and Juan Pedro Ramírez confirmed their status by dominating Guillermo Ibáñez and Alejandro Prados with a score of 6/1, 6/4. With this victory, they prepare to face Joaquim Florensa and Jesús Ruiz in their first round of the main draw.

In another decisive match, Pablo Reina and Alejandro Linares won 6/4, 6/1 against Lucas Mañero and Álex Cinca, giving them a ticket to face Alejandro Perez and Pablo Gonzalez from the start of the main draw.

For their part, Alejandro Jérez and Cayetano Rocafort showed their superiority by beating Gabriel Loredo and Sergio Alba with a clear score of 6/1, 6/2. Their next test will put them against Santiago Castañeyra and Rodrigo Santellan. Finally, Marcos Gonzalez and Jaime Menendez closed the day by eliminating Hugo De La Fuente and Victor Sanchez 6/3, 6/1, thus earning the right to challenge Iago Gonzalez and Juan Pablo Andrada.

48 pairs competing for the title, the best exempt from the first round

With the end of the preliminary rounds, there are now 48 pairs who will compete for the title of this prestigious tournament. Note that the Top 16 pairs in the table are exempt from the first round, which adds a layer of competition for other teams. The main draw will kick off this Friday, August 9 at 9:00 a.m. (local time) on the center court of the Nuevo Alcántara Club. The first match will see Alejandro Perez and Pablo Gonzalez face off against Pablo Reina and Alejandro Correa, opening a weekend of padel exciting in Marbella.
