On had already relayed it for some time, it is now official: the World Padel Tour will join forces with Canal + for the broadcasting of its matches!

Broadcast in 62 territories

By partnering with the world's leading distributor of French-language content, World Padel Tour continues its expansion process. The Canal + group has bought the rights to the WPT for the next few seasons, during which it will broadcast the matches in a total of 62 territories. We can watch the WPT live from France, Poland, Polynesia, Andorra, Monaco, Switzerland, Slovakia, Vietnam, Sub-Saharan Africa etc. Thierry cheleman, director of sports of CANAL +, notably declared “The arrival on our channels of a sport in full development like the padel is wonderful news. CANAL + has always been a pioneer in sports broadcasting and, once again, we are here to offer our subscribers popular sports. As with other sports, we will provide quality coverage of the World Padel Tour“. On the WPT side, the situation is similar, the general manager of the circuit, Mario Hernando, underlined the importance of this new agreement: “The alliance between Canal + and the World Padel Tour is a double satisfaction. We are happy to have entered into a partnership with one of the largest audiovisual companies in the world and all that that entails ”.

It is therefore really a large-scale operation that has been carried out, whether for the WPT or for Canal +. The alliance will begin with theEstrella Damm Madrid Master Final 2021, which will be the first tournament to be broadcast worldwide on Canal + channels from December 16 to 19.
