There will be no second Frenchman in the final of the FIP Gold Dubai. Léa Godallier and Sandra Bellver bowed in three sets against Barbara Las Heras and Esther Carnicero (5/7 6/4 6/1). A defeat that should not overshadow an interesting week, marked by three victories.

As is often the case in this type of tournament in Dubai, some relatively weak pairs made it to the main draw, which the Franco-Spanish pair were able to take advantage of. On the other hand, the clear victory against Touly and Dominguez in two straight sets is much more revealing of the level of this team.

Despite this elimination against the number 2 seed, Godallier and Bellver showed some great things that they can build on for the next events on the international circuit.

Tomorrow, a Frenchman will still be in the final: Max Joris, who will try to win his first FIP Gold in career.
