There were no surprises in Finland Premier Padel P2, with the final victory of Juan Lebron and Martin Di Nenno against Jon Sanz and Coki Nieto in two sets, 7/5 6/3, in less than an hour and twenty minutes.

Despite a relatively tight first set, we cannot say that the Spanish-Argentinian pair were really worried in this final.

This is explained by a very offensive Lebron, as evidenced by this 9th game where he achieves four consecutive winning smashes. On the other hand, Jon Sanz showed an irregularity which worked in favor of Martin Di Nenno, who knew how to tighten the game and highlight his partner in an exemplary manner.

Coki Nieto tried to fill the gaps left by his partner, but they were too big today. Furthermore, in the second set, Lebron was unstoppable on the floor. His return to the left is a success: it’s a new Lebron that we see, and he’s a pleasure to see. Those who thought that Martin Di Nenno had made a bad deal during the transfer window before Finland P2 were wrong. This separation, wanted by Galan and suffered by Lebron, could ultimately prove beneficial if the second part of the season resembles this Finland P2.

Few people thought they would see a Lebron as active and efficient on the track. However, it should be noted that there were moments of very good play from Lebron, but also less good moments, like in the round of 16 against Leal/Campagnolo. The Spaniard was able to benefit from the extreme consistency of Di Nenno, an ideal partner to regain confidence. We will have to see how Lebron behaves when the Argentinian is perhaps a little less efficient or more inconsistent, which could happen.

For Silingo, still a player two weeks ago, finds himself afterwards with a first victory on the circuit Premier Padel…as a coach!

Remember, however, that the first two world pairs were missing in this last tournament of the first part of the season. From next September, we will have to see if these promises are confirmed.
