After a strong start to the season, Juan Lebrón and Franco Stupaczuk faced a setback due to the Argentinian's injury. But the good news is now here: the pair are back and looking to return to their former form.

A duo to break the routine

The 2024 season was largely dominated by pairs Coello / Tapia et Galan / ChingottoThese two pairs played no less than 14 endings, leaving little room for competition. Yet, the beginning of 2025 had shown signs of a possible change of dynamics thanks to the emergence of the Lebrón / Stupaczuk duo.

From the moment they joined forces, the two players hit hard, reaching the Riyadh final P1, after beating the rising pair Cardona / Augsburger in the semi-finals. Even though they lost to the world number ones, the pair showed promising potential. They then confirmed this by winning the title in Cancun, even if the numerous absences due to the boycott put this performance into perspective. They then reached the final at Miami P1, then at Santiago P1.

Unfortunately, the machine stalled with Stupaczuk's injury, depriving them of competitions at Qatar and BrusselsResult: a broken dynamic, and a loss of ground in the rankings.

Return to the field

Good news for fans: after three weeks of absence, Franco Stupaczuk is backThe Argentinian player has already resumed training with Juan Lebrón, as evidenced by the videos shared on their social networks. For their big return, they will be present at the P2 of Asuncion, 18 to 25 may.

A ranking to reconquer

Currently, the global hierarchy is well established. Coello / Tapia dominate with 38 100 points, far ahead Galan / Chingotto with 29 780 points. Lebrón and Stupa meet again third with 17 425 pointsTo hope to get closer to the top two in the standings, they will have to string together good performances as soon as they return to the slopes.

For the Spanish-Argentine duo, the objective is therefore twofold: get back into shape et regain lost ground in their absence.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
