Four years ago, before getting injured, Juan Lebrón was world No. 1, played on the left and was considered one of the best players in the history of the padel in terms of level of play.
His arm injury forced him to move to the right, where he continued to achieve interesting results and win tournaments. Although he never fully recovered his physical abilities, he remained among the best players on tour, whether paired with Galan or Paquito.
Four years later, after parting ways with his previous partners, he decided to join forces with Di Nenno, one of the best current players on the right, returning to his favorite left side.
On paper, the association of the two players is a dream and their objective is clearly to compete with Chingalan and Coello/Tapia. In the first matches of the Finnish tournament, Lebrón seemed to be done with his mood swings, which is a good place to start. If he makes mistakes, he shows envy and, above all, he apologizes to his partner.
In terms of play, he seems physically liberated. He will look for a lot of balls, in all areas, which could also have led to some misunderstandings with Di Nenno. His activity shows a desire to mark his return with force.
If the chemistry between the two players takes off, we could well go from two dominant pairs on the circuit to a dominant trio. This would reshuffle the cards and could calm the ardor of the ogre Coello/Tapia.
