And among the expected French pairs, one association is particularly attracting attention:  Thomas Vanbauce  et  Lucas Pillon  will be evolving together for the first time.

 An unusual association on paper 

This pairing is intriguing because both players usually play… on the left side of the court.

But for this tournament, one of the two will have to move to the right. And everything seems to indicate that it will be  Lucas Pillon  who will take on this role.

This association is also surprising because  Lucas Pillon  had gotten used to evolving with  Olivier Guy de Chamisso  since the start of the season.

Pillon will therefore form a 100% Bordeaux pair with his friend  Thomas Vanbauce , both players having come from the academy  Big Padel Bordeaux  .

Currently announced as  pair number 13 The two Bordeaux players could clearly become a tricky pair in this tournament.

With a favorable draw, a quarter-final seems entirely possible.

 Vanbauce is back in color 

For its part,  Thomas Vanbauce  seems to be gradually returning to a very good level on the international circuit.

The Bordeaux native is leaving:

  • a good  Brussels P2  with Julien Seurin, where they came very close to the final table
  • a great Asian tour with a final at  FIP Bronze Hong Kong

Same positive dynamic for  Lucas Pillon .

On the international circuit, he had already achieved a very good quarter-final result at the  FIP Bronze Rivesaltes .

Last year, he also won the  FIP Promises WME Sport Paris  with Olivier Guy de Chamisso.

And on the French circuit, the young Bordeaux native continues to confirm his talent:

  • huge battle at  P2000 Bordeaux  with Maxime Joris at the start of the season against Blanqué / Leygue
  • final of  P1500 Padel Arena  with Simon Wagner

All these performances demonstrate his consistent progress.

 A pair to watch closely 

Between Vanbauce's return to form and Pillon's rise to prominence, this new Bordeaux partnership will clearly be one of the most intriguing aspects of the season.  FIP Bronze Marnes .
