Discover the behind the scenes of an exciting adventure, between organizational challenges and growing successes.

Beginnings in the Cupra organization Padel Tour

Can you tell us how it all started for you in the organization of the Cupra? Padel Tower ? I started in 2022 with an internship after finishing my studies in the United States. I was looking for an internship in events, and I met Frank Lemousse. We hit it off, and he hired me to organize the Cupra Padel Tour that year. Everything went really well, I loved the Tour! Then I went back to Marseille to finish my studies with a Master 2 in sports events. Once I graduated, I continued working on the Cupra Padel Tour, moving from assistant project manager to event project manager in 2024. Constant evolution, and everything is going very well!

Cupra Highlights Padel Tour

What were the highlights for you on this Tour? What strikes me the most are the regulars. Some participants do not hesitate to cross France to join a stage, sometimes by driving three hours. They love the atmosphere and it is always a pleasure to meet them again. This loyalty shows that the Cupra Padel Tour is a real success. However, 2024 was a complex year. We were supposed to start in January with 25 dates planned, but the start was postponed several times. Finally, the Tour started in June, with 17 stages between June and November. This start was very intense, especially since a collaborator left the team, leaving me alone to manage registrations, logistics and general organization. Fortunately, we recruited reinforcements and ended the year on a very good note.

The surprises of this adventure

What surprised you most about this adventure? What really surprised me was the scale of the Cupra Padel Tour. In 2022, the Tour was already well established, but in 2024, it attracted many more players and participants. For the Master Final, we had almost all the stage winners, who came to Toulouse to compete. The commitment of the players is impressive: they stay until the end, participate in all the animations like the raffle or the FLASHPOINT, and fight for the contract of 1 500 euros put into play. Seeing this craze is a real satisfaction.

You play padel yourself. What are your strengths and areas for improvement? Being a former tennis player, my strengths are: serve-volley, the flight and Smash. I discovered padel in 2022 thanks to the Cupra Padel Tour, and I loved it. I left tennis aside a bit to focus on padel. My weak point is still defending on the glass, but I'm working on it. I started participating in tournaments P500 et P1000, and I really want to progress to climb the rankings.

The objectives for 2025

What are your goals for 2025? On the sporting level, I want progress in padel, participate in more tournaments and improve my ranking. Professionally, I wish to continue as a project manager at Well done, where I love my job. We have several projects in the pipeline, including for the Cupra Padel Tour 2025, but I can't say too much yet.

Will there be anything new for 2025? Yes, there are new things coming. You won't be disappointed, I can assure you! Thank you Juliette for this interview! With pleasure, thank you!
