The United States has made its mark on North American padel history. Following the zone qualifiers  North America and Central America , disputed at  Toronto The American men's and women's teams have both secured their spots for the  FIP World Championships 2026 , which will take place in  November  (02/11/2026 – 07/11/2026)  in Doha, Qatar , at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

This qualification confirms the rise of American padel.

Long overshadowed by the major European and South American nations, the United States continues its rise on the international stage. This double victory is a first for American padel and illustrates the investments made in recent years, both in infrastructure development and in structuring elite-level competition.

The qualifying phase, organized over three days in Toronto, brought together the main nations of the region in a championship format where each team faced all of its opponents.

The men are ahead of Mexico

In the men's competition, the United States quickly took control by dominating Canada before playing a decisive match against Mexico.

This particularly close contest went down to the wire. The Americans ultimately snatched victory.  2-1 the decisive point being obtained at the end of a  third set tie-break  during the final match of the competition. A victory that allows them to finish top of the qualifiers.

Mexico, solid throughout the tournament, also secured its ticket to Doha by finishing second in the competition.

American women are ready to step up

In the women's draw, only one qualifying spot was up for grabs. The United States didn't let their chance slip away.

Facing a surprising Canada, which had eliminated Mexico from the qualification race, the Americans confirmed their status. The successive victories of  Dubins / Morga And then  Riobueno / Quevedo , offered the United States the only qualification available in this category.

Canada, buoyed by its progress in recent seasons, therefore falls short of the World Cup despite an encouraging run in front of its home crowd.

A region in full evolution

These results demonstrate the rapid growth of padel in North America. While Mexico remains one of the regional leaders in men's padel, the United States is now establishing itself as a nation capable of competing in both men's and women's competitions.

The rise of clubs, the increasing organization of international competitions and the arrival of many European players and coaches are contributing to accelerating the development of the sport on the continent.
