The semi-finals of P1000 Mantes-la-Jolie They lived up to all their promises this Sunday morning. While the top two seeds will indeed be in the final, they had to work hard to overcome particularly tenacious opponents.
Deloyer and Deknuydt pushed to their limits
In the first semi-final, the number 1 seeded team consisted of Maxime Deloyer and Eliot Deknuydt had to draw on its reserves to overcome Paul Chu and Maxime Moreau .
The favorites ultimately prevailed in three sets: 6/1 4/6 6/4 .
The start of the match was largely in their favor. Deloyer and Deknuydt imposed a high tempo, were very aggressive in attack, and capitalized on their opponents' numerous unforced errors. On the other side, Maxime Moreau struggled to get into the game and influence the rallies.
But the scenario changed completely in the second set. Eliot Deknuydt lost his edge, made more errors, and allowed his opponents back into the match. More consistent and solid, Chu and Moreau gained confidence. Maxime Moreau grew stronger and made an increasingly significant difference, especially in key moments. A break at the end of the set allowed them to level the match at one set apiece.
The third set was particularly hard-fought. The two teams traded blows until 5-4. It was finally at this point that Deloyer and Deknuydt made the difference. More incisive in the crucial moments, Maxime Deloyer raised his level of play and allowed his team to break serve at the perfect time to close out the match.
A hard-fought but valuable victory for the favorites, who almost fell to a very convincing Chu/Moreau pair.

Maigret and Auradou avert the tournament's upset
In the other semi-final, the second seeded team, composed of... Adrien Maigret and Yann Auradou was up against the tournament sensation, the 14th seed formed by Sébastien Lescoulié and Raphaël Lambling .
Here too, the favorites were pushed to their limits before asserting their dominance. After a close start, Maigret and Auradou took control in the deciding set to win decisively, concluding the third set with a clear 6/1 .
Despite the defeat, Lescoulié and Lambling can leave their tournament with their heads held high after notably eliminating the 4th seed and then the 6th seed to reach the final four.
A final between the top two seeds
The scenario anticipated at the start of the tournament will indeed unfold. The two top seeds will meet in the final to try and clinch the title.
Maxime Deloyer / Eliot Deknuydt (TS1) will face Adrien Maigret / Yann Auradou (TS2) in a match that promises a lot between two of the strongest pairs in the draw.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
