The FIP Rise Frihamnen, the Swedish stage of the Cupra FIP Tour, left a bitter taste in the mouths of French players.
The last tricolor pair in the running, Max Moreau / Jérôme Inzerillo, suffered a defeat in the quarter-finals against the Spanish pair Armo / Insa Sotillo. The score of 6/1 6/3 testifies to the domination of the Iberian pair throughout the match.
It was not the only hard blow for the France team in this tournament. Jérémy Scatena and Thomas Leygue, seeded 1, fell in the first round, beaten by the Swedes Daniel Appelgren and Linus Frost in two sets, 6/4 7/6.
Another disappointment came from Bastien Blanqué and Julien Seurin who also lost to a Swedish pair, Axelsson/Personn, with a score of 6/4 6/4.
Three tricolor pairs were part of the eight tested in series, and unfortunately we will not have a Frenchman in the last four.
